Guess.
I wish I'd googled the name Pesanta sooner because
It makes so much sense
I wholeheartedly believe that a Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways DLC is in the pipeline, but I also think it's gonna be substantially expanded.
⚠️☣️ WARNING: Major spoilers for Resident Evil 4 (2023) ahead☣️⚠️
The 2023 remake leaves out some pretty sizeable stuff, notably the entire section and boss fight with U-3 (which, curiously, has actually had its lore EXPANDED in some discoverable documents, revealing it was originally the housekeeper of the Salazar estate), as well as the fate of the black cloaked Verdugo.
In the original game the second Verdugo is assimilated by Ramón Salazar and the Queen Plaga, becoming the massive secondary head that forms the bulk of the boss.
Salazar's mutant form in the remake distinctly lacks the verdugo elements, as well as being much smaller and substantially more mobile
Which is all well and good, but it suddenly opens up the questions: what happened to the other Verdugo?
Well, my thinking is that Ada's campaign was a little too short for DLC, being less continuous than the main story and just jumping from location to location. I think that Separate Ways may be coming in an expanded form, transplanting the U-3 boss fight and second verdugo into Ada's story to give her a little more to do (seeing as in the original her only unique boss fight was an alternate battle against Saddler).
Could I be wrong? Sure. Hell, I probably am, but for anyone familiar with the original, the conspicuous absence of U-3 (while also expanding its lore) paired with the unexplained disappearance of the second Verdugo, suggest the very tangible possibility that Ada's path through Valdelobos will be substantially expanded.
(also dataminers have allegedly found evidence of the Separate Ways campaign in the files, so it will almost certainly come out in DLC or a future update. It's also name-dropped in the story for whatever that's worth)
All the known Cut Content from Resident Evil 4 Remake CAN be incorporated in to a future update mode *SPOILERS* (reddit)
