A skull, a poisoned sword, a villainous uncle/King, a funeral - or a wedding?- a drowned, insane girl and of course “To be or not to be” – all the familiar elements will be on hand. // Hamlet is a site-specific production with the gravestones, tombs, obelisks and mausoleums of Laurel Hill providing the setting for this consummate ghost story. REV will create a unique theatrical event, transforming part of the cemetery into a surreal and hallucinatory place where a chandelier will hang in a tree, and a tombstone will become a bed. The immersive staging will bring audiences into the world of the play - they will be totally immersed in the action as witnesses and participants. // Audiences will experience the play as a fever dream – bringing them into Hamlet’s mind as he moves through the intense emotional terrain of a landscape of grief, loss, love, betrayal and revenge.
