Rant time.

I LOVE POP MUSIC. Just getting that out there first. I love a lot of artists that are the radio, this rant is in no way aimed at them.

I hate UBER-fans sometimes. The people who think the world revolves around the shit that their favorite artist just took. And that they play such an important roll in the success of that artist. Now, fans are what makes the artist 'successful' HOWEVER, you can be successful and not sell out every show or make a billion dollars. I am talking about the fans who FREAK OUT when someone has an opinion that opposes their favorite artist. NOT the fans who just really appreciate the music and love the artist and doesn't take their obsessions to extreme heights.

People who think that they need to bully other people for saying 'Lady Gaga sux' I love Lady Gaga, I have bought a lot of her music! But I am not going to attack someone for having an opinion that differs from mine. What good comes of it? 'Oh, if I bully this person they will realize how great Lady Gaga really is and they will love her as I do' OR 'I'm going to bully this person so much that he/she will spread around how awful Lady Gaga fans are and then I will have more people to attack!'

I get standing up for an artist. I really do, no one likes to hear their favorite person being trash talked. BUT HERE IS THE KICKER! By attacking another person for having a opinion you're just giving them more AMMO! They want you to fight back and say that the artist is awesome because they think it's funny! SO, you are giving them what they want. Ignore the haters, that is what will affect them the most!

Again, I really like Pop music and I in no way mean to bash the artists who create wonderful music for everyone to listen to. The Mega-fans who feel the need to fight in the name of their fav artists are who annoy me. Fight for causes like equal rights, or against cancer, or poverty. Don't fight each other, music is supposed to unite not divide.
