I try to install the driver-things I need and I get:

I reinstalled Ubuntu because it tried to update a while ago and didn't quite make it, causing my computer to work imperfectly.

I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed, without a hitch. I know exactly which driver I need to install and which b43fw-cutter whatever things I need to install with it. I can download them all onto my computer. I cannot make them install.

Activar automaticamente el Teclado Numerico

Te ha pasado que cuando inicias Ubuntu 12.04 LTS tu Teclado Numérico esta bloqueado, o si tienes que ingresar tu pass al iniciar sesión debes oprimir la tecla Num Lk

Por lo tanto para que el botón del teclado numérico pueda encenderse en cada inicio de sesión, lo haremos editando una pequeña linea del fichero de configuración

Por tanto, para que el botón del teclado numérico puede encenderse en cada inicio de sesión, lo haremos editando una pequeña linea del fichero de configuraciónlightdm.(Encuéntrelo en /etc/lightdm/)

Para ello realicemos los siguientes pasos:

Paso 1 »» Instalar numlockx

sudo apt-get install numlockx

Paso 2 »» Modificar el fichero lightdm.conf

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm/lightdm.conf

Nos vamos al final del fichero, y añadimos lo siguiente:

greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/numlockx on

Paso 3 »» Guardar el fichero lightdm.conf

Oprimimos Ctrl+x 

Oprimimos y Presionamos Enter

Paso 4 »» Reiniciamos y listo ya esta activado nuestro Teclado Numérico en cada inicio se sesión.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS started from USB flash drive on PC.

HP a1720n desktop has a boot manager which you can access when you press the "ESC" key during computer start up. If you plug in USB drives into it, you can view your computer drives including your USB flash drive to start a computer from a USB flash drive. You use your keyboard arrow key to high light your flash drive and click enter on the keyboard. You need to wait a few minutes for Ubuntu to start up, and you can pick Try Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu. I recommend trying Ubuntu before you install Ubuntu to see if Ubuntu is for you, and get familiar with the desktop before you install Ubuntu. 

You can also use Ubuntu as is from the USB drive, but your settings and programs will be lost like a LiveCD unless you use the Ubuntu Startup Drive creator found in Ubuntu operating system.

I used the Patriot Xporter XT Boost USB Drive  for this tutorial because it is the most fast, and reliable USB 2.0 flash drive which I ever used/owned.
