I'm really happy Unity still exists but trying Ubuntu Unity rn and it's tickling me how much of a cobble-together it feels like on the surface, having MATE's calculator, a bunch of GNOME stuff, and Kvantum.
Still considering using it if I can get it working on my existing Debian machine tho, feels lovely and I love the style.
I broke down and installed ubuntu unity on real hardware even though I'm not a fan of snaps. I was having issues with it in a virtual environment and I'm just so drawn to the Unity desktop (which didn't work on Linux Mint when I tried installing it that way) that I decided I would go for it.
Turning on natural scrolling was a bit of a chore since you couldn't set that option in the gui, but it's working so no real complaints there.
Unity is back as an official Ubuntu flavor
