Naruto crouched down on the branch observing his surroundings quietly. Fox mask pulled over his face and red eyes gleamed hauntingly in the foggy mist that had spread through the forest. So much for an easy mission.

A grin pulled to his lips as his tongue glided across fanged teeth like a predator. That’s just what he was too. He was on the hunt. He took no more time and pounce his target shoving their head into the ground.

“Now then, I have a schedule to maintain let’s make this quick. Give me the stolen scroll and I’ll make your death swift.” He growled ignoring his former team mate in the clearing. He had no need to talk to them. He wasn’t one of them and never truly would be. He was a weapon through and through. With his team spilt he had disappeared back into the shadows. This is the first time he hadn’t let anyone see him in almost three years aside from the Hokage and other ANBU.

The two friends/rivals were at it again, bickering about something totally stupid and irrelevant. The blond was blabbering on and on, calling the raven names, making faces —- the list goes on. He almost screamed when the other suddenly picked him up and his body was thrown over the Uchiha’s shoulder.

"T-teme! I’m not some princess! Put me down!"

"Doesn’t that mean.. what?" He smirked, looking at the crimson shade all over the heiress’ face. Sasuke knew exactly what it meant but hell, playing dumb had its perks. 

"Tell me Hime, what does that mean?"

The smirk and his words sent her blush spiralling, the red growing even more in tone as she tried to calm her nervous self. "M-Me?" It was true she had feelings for the Uchiha, but she was never good at talking about this stuff like the others; since she was and still is severely sheltered due to her household. "W-Well, it's where two...well...come together?" Still not saying the one word for it.

Sasuke rolled his eyes, glaring at the blonde. 

"Yeah, right. Why would I want a picture of you?"

"I know you're actually into boys like me~" he teased the other and giggled.

It was just his way of having fun with the other. He was after all still the stupid and jerk Sasuke from back in the old days.

The day had been long. It was full of decisions and signings and greetings and the local kingdoms had been involved in heated discussions. But when the meetings had come to a close and Sasuke had disappeared, she had let him go. For a short while, anyhow. She had very little chance to interact with anyone else, and he was a distraction from her thoughts. She could focus on that for a short while. 

Draped in a robe and little else as she pushed open the door, leaning back against it and making a soft clear of her throat to alert him of her presence. "Don't you think,"  She said quietly, moving toward him and letting the silk drape over her shoulder, "That work should be done for the day?"
