while reading the kohei appreciation posts i came across this masterpiece... i aspire to reach the level of chill of the co-worker lady who says "they're practicing" in a deadpan voice when asked by the boss "where are uchimura and kato?"

i can't decide what the funniest part of this video is but playing the can-can every time it cuts to them pommeling at work is priceless

kohei in a post-worlds interview like "i wanted to get better results, but i don't need the title of 'best in the world' anymore" except people still think he is 😅

full tl: gymnastics is hard. but i've never thought of wanting to quit, even for a bit. selfishly, i wanted to get better results, but i don't need the title of 'best in the world' anymore. up until now, i've always won in a smart manner. however, doing things recklessly is cool too. this tournament made me realize the meaning of being reckless, of not having to struggle and suffer to reach results.
