Addicted to the runners high
Had my first race of the season last night at Woodbridge with @runningthehills and I ran a 50 second PR from last years race (18:52)!! All of our girls ran so well, and it's exciting to see them succeed and run faster than they ever have before. There's so many exciting things to come this season, and I'm super stoked to see where we end up.
gotta treasure the good days.
the beautiful sequoias never cease to amaze me.
Update!
I’m two weeks into my senior year of high school, and it’s crazy how fast time already seems to be going by. I have a lot of big things happening these next few weeks so I’m definitely excited/nervous.
•I got a 30 on my final practice ACT, which I’m super pumped about
•I take the real thing tomorrow, so I’m nervous but excited to see how I do on that
•Tomorrow also happens to be my 18th birthday (!!!)
•My team has their second cross country meet tomorrow, so I won’t be racing yet again, making my first meet September 16th
•I’ve been running fairly well, so I’m excited to see how my season debut goes
•I’m looking into several different colleges and starting to contact coaches about running for them
•I’ve been talking to the boy I like a lot more (even though we were already friends beforehand) and we’ve gotten a lot closer
• Have to do another 10 mile run by myself tomorrow, but hopefully things will go as well as they did 2 weeks ago
Annnd while that’s not all, that’s the big things that are going on right now!! I can’t wait to see where this year takes me, and how everything turns out. I’m super stoked for everything to come.
Not every run is going to be a good one. You gotta embrace the bad runs in order to get to the runs that feel effortless.
It's days like these that remind me why I love to run.
