Sometimes it’s okay to run away from your problems.

But what if your own people are the source of those problems?

It’s naturally difficult to go against the current, isn’t it?

Many of us don’t choose to run away because we know that there’s someone who cares a lot about us and we matter to them even if they have not always cared about what we think or what we had to say.

But when it comes to Rohan from Udaan (2010), he knew that there’s no one left and it’s best that he with his brother run away.

He chose to run away from the machine world so that he can create one of his own. And in his brother he saw his younger self who will be lost if left with his father and his new family.

Rohan wants to write, write his heart out, write the whole world in his diaries. 1 or 2 diaries won’t ever be enough for his imagination.

Poets are therefore such beings who can always connect with others, people who have dreams, people who have pain in them, someone who has a story to tell and someone who is in love.

They can burn the pages, not his story. They can cage him, not his thoughts and dreams. A poet is only dead when his/ her thoughts finally die.

No one has the right to cage you and raise you just to put you in another cage!
