I just checked and My VR Chat world, the “Classy Criminals’ Lounge” has had over 13,000 visits! Holy heck! Also, I just published an update that adds a hidden safe to the room, that you can unlock using a simple cipher to decode the combination. I also added some new items, and made tweaks to some of the materials and lighting, which especially improved the look of the Quest version, which requires much simpler shaders.

I just started learning about Unity’s lightmapping, so there is still definitely room for improvement on that. But it looks much better than it originally did!

My low poly, “classy criminal lounge” for VR chat is coming along. Looking all moody. I’ll do a full video tour when it’s done. Big thanks to my brother Jonah, who modeled the tommy gun on the table, the big glowy bar, and the glass lady statues.

Also, thanks to the Udon Sharp dev community on Merlin’s discord that helped me as I worked through getting these NPC guys working in Udon Sharp. And thanks to Poiyomi for writing some super flexible, user friendly shaders. I really got to run wild with those in this project.
