for those who read the “personal isn’t the same as important line” too many times in Discworld (and really, broader media) please remember that sharing stories is important. When you share what you have been through, even if in your own head and the media you consume would trivialize it as “personal” but not important, you are allowing others to escape what you have been through. Or if not that then at least identify a pattern of what is normal and what isn’t. Keeping things quiet, or not prioritizing them because they're not 'important', is fucked up and how abuse is perpetuated. Like it’s goddamn gas lighting, whether it’s intentional or not.
