One of my favorite things about Word of Honor is the way ZZS and WKX kind of switched roles. At first, WKX was the carefree one who was moved by shoulderblades to seduce ZZS. He flirted and played shamelessly. ZZS put up with this reluctantly and mostly did his best to get away.
Now, ZZS is the one opening himself up to WKX. He's the one smiling at the slightest provocation and joking around when WKX is trying to be a touch more serious. He's the one being gentle and sharing more of himself as WKX pulls back because his plan is coming to fruition.
It's not a full role reversal, of course, but it's very interesting and nice to see the way ZZS has changed and the way WKX is changing. ZZS is soft and happy and WKX's anger is starting to boil.
I just love them so much. And soft ZZS is fantastic, so gentle and so joking and so teasing as WKX struggles with truths and lies and pain and revenge.
