Clouds made of Fear | Kai & Rian
Malakai stretched his arms up over his head as he walked off the quidditch pitch. He could definitely tell he was out of practice. The downfall to being a muggle and living in the muggle world meant every summer he missed out on months of practice time. He tried to keep in physical shape by running, but it was not the same as getting on a broom and playing quidditch with a team. It was not even close. Still, he felt like he did a decent job for his first day back in the swing of things.
There was something still eating at him about his performance. He went about the usual routine of taking a shower, really just rinsing off since he didn’t enjoy showering in front of other people, and changing back into his school uniform. The only way he was going to be able to get the annoying faults off his mind, was to speak with someone about it. That meant having to seek out Captain Wood and ask hir for input. While ze was the most insufferable human being to exist on the face of the planet, ze knew quite a bit when it came to quidditch and was his captain so it was his only choice. He definitely wasn’t going to Griff with this one.
“Uh… Captain Wood, I was wondering if I could talk to you about my performance today? If you are free, that is.” He spoke meekly at the sight of hir. Kai shuffled his feet forward. Sports did not have him nearly as confident as academics did and though his captain was very friendly, he was nervous about approaching hir. He has been quite rude in the past and wasn’t sure if ze would want to return the favor to him. “If not, I can ask later. I do not wish to be a bother to you.” He followed up, looking down at his shoes.
