My Seiko 6139-6019 aka 'Deep Blue' from July 1969, Resist/Resist. This reference wasn't released 'Proof'. I'm so lucky to have found this one. Such a rare reference to find. It was released for the North American market only. Note the difference with other 601x references, below the Seiko logo it says 'Automatic' only and not 'Chronograph Automatic' like the other references do. It's wearing its battle scars from the past, a pretty beaten up crystal, the lume isn't good anymore, the sweep hand is incorrect and the bracelet isn't correct either but that will be fixed. Which stories could you tell? Hidden under that beaten up crystal is a dial in perfect condition. I already got a NOS crystal to replace it and soon it will have the correct sweep hand. You may think what's the fuzz about a sweep hand? The 6019 was released originally with the 2 piece sweep hand. Seiko 6139's with a 2 piece sweep hand which were send for servicing after mid 1970 got the hand replaced by a 1 piece sweep hand because they were less 'faulty', less 'hassle' to take care of. A perfectly logic step.
