100 DOW - Day 7
Whoop, skipped a few days.
Here’s some of my more recent UH rewrite.
“Sutton! Wait up!”
He came to a skidding stop in front of her and grabbed her sleeve as he leaned in close.
“Did you and Chris Evans ever find his shield?” He whispered.
“Oh, oh, yes.” She cleared her throat and cast a look around before leaning closer. “I got it back to him,” she said. “All in one piece too, with maybe only a couple scratches. But he was very grateful, and he said it was very cool to meet you. He told me to thank you for keeping his secret.”
The look of delight on his face eased the pang of guilt over the lie. No, no; not a lie. The epilogue to the story she told him.
