A little project for class.
Trying to make a sort of old book cover style that I used to see on my little books of myths and riddles as a kid.
-Bubbly, ROLL OUT!
I just watched Hannah Witton’s 30 before 30 video. She listed traveling to Auswitzch, and I began thinking about what my 30 Before 30 list would look like.
Basically, in the next ten years, I want to visit a death camp. Perhaps where my family went, or perhaps where we should have gone, or perhaps the best-preserved of the less-touristy pure death camps.
Just in case you were wondering.
Also my mom finally told me that her mom actually lied about not being Jewish because that was another way to distinguish herself from her husband (my mom’s father) and also not a popular thing to be in the Netherlands after the war so my mom is 100% genetically Jewish, and I am ethnically as well (because it’s matrilineal). (Before this, I thought she was just half Jewish.) Probably because I told her I wrote a play about Hanukkah and told everyone I’m not Jewish — because that’s what I had been told.
