UHF and Pulse Current Partial Discharge Sensor
The UHF and Pulse Current Partial Discharge Sensor is designed for continuous online monitoring of partial discharge activity in medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment. By integrating Ultra High Frequency (UHF) detection technology with pulse current measurement, the sensor provides comprehensive insight into insulation degradation and potential defects before failures occur.
The sensor captures partial discharge signals across a frequency range of 300–1500 MHz while simultaneously measuring pulse current discharge levels up to 1500 pC. Collected data, including amplitude values, time-domain waveforms, PRPD (Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge) patterns, and PRPS (Phase-Resolved Pulse Sequence) spectra, are transmitted to the monitoring system through an RS485 communication interface.
With high sensitivity, excellent noise immunity, and reliable long-distance communication, the sensor is well suited for condition-based maintenance and predictive asset management in modern power systems.
