Benefit of the doubt
My friend has someone she likes and that guy likes her, too. In fact, the guy liked her first and the girl is just crushing on him. They somehow developed. My friend suddenly wants to be in a relationship but here comes the guy saying he likes her but he's not ready for a relationship. Initial reaction of my friend? Pissed off. She's like what the f*ck (literally what she said). All my other friends reacted the way she did because of course, as friends we should be on her side. But I didn't react with that confrontation, because I totally understand the guy.
Earlier this morning, my friend told me to read the text she sent to the guy. She realized the true wonders of liking or loving someone. It's not about being in the relationship but about understanding the worth of having someone to like or love. It's not always about getting what you want now, because there's always a time for everything. About understanding that it's not always gain. We may not get the things we want right away but maybe someday or maybe there are a lot more better things that await us. We are just too blinded to even see the brightest side of things.
I'm totally in favor of the guy. He's not the kind of guy that goes on seeking for girls. He is trying to save my friend and also himself from getting in a pseudo-relationship. Rushing things do no good. He is right.
I can sense a whole lot of stories tomorrow because they talked.
Clearer vision in vague places.
