Introducing Paris-Michelle Barrett-Powell🇯🇲 Paris-Michelle is a Youth Empowerment Officer with the Ministry of Education, Youth & Information, a 2018 recipient of the Governor General's Achievement Awards for Excellence, and a shortlisted nominee for the 2018 Prime Minister's National Youth Awards. After withdrawing from the University of Technology in 2009 due to severe complications of epilepsy, she later pursued & graduated with a BSc. in Social Work with honours from the Northern Caribbean University in 2015. She will pursue a MA in Marketing and Communications at the University of Westminster, which will aptly position her as an expert in global branding & marketing strategy, brand reputation, and nation branding. Introducing Leroy Montaque 🇯🇲 Leroy is a Correctional Officer at the Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Remand Centre where his responsibilities include the general security of the institution, the protection and supervision of wards and assisting in the treatment and rehabilitation process. Since 2014, he has been a volunteer with Peace and Love in Society as a PALS Trainer where he engages at-risk youth in inner-city communities and schools through behaviour modification programmes. Presently, he serves as a mentor at Calabar High School, his alma mater. He is a graduate of the Jamaica Theological Seminary where he majored in Theology. Leroy will pursue a Master of Science in Behavioural Science at Durham University. Introducing Kerry-Ann Harriott 🇯🇲 Kerry-Ann is a Senior GIS Mapping Officer at the Forestry Department (FD) where she works to incorporate the use of geospatial technology to achieve FD’s sustainability objectives. She has been instrumental in the implementation of the Agency’s first online geospatial platform; improving spatial data collection, quality and analysis. She is a member of the Land Information Council of Jamaica and the Commonwealth 100 Common Purpose Leadership group. She utilises her platform and expertise to influence Jamaica’s Environmental and Geospatial Sector through projects and advocacy initiatives. Kerry-Ann will pursue a Master of Science in Sustainability at the University of Southampton.
