Jingle Bell Rock Free Guitar Tab by Jeffrey Thomas. Here is a super fun little jam to play around the holidays. I have the signature intro and then follow with a basic chord melody. The tab sounds great on electric guitar!

********Metronome exercise 2**** In this exercise we will be using triplettes to take our metronome training one step further! Triplets can be tricky at first but if we start off with our metronome at a nice slow pace you'll be shredding them on beat in no time! We are going to use this classical piece written by Dionisio Aguada y Garcia. For those of you familiar with fernando sor this was his roommate and they also collaborated on many works. This piece is a great advanced beginner piece. It is in 4/4 and the triplets are constant so it keeps a nice steady comfortable beat. Now lets start with how to count out our triplets. To do that we will count “1, 2, 3” as we are counting through our piece. So since this is in 4/4 will will count the triplets out as so: 1,2,3 - 2,2,3 - 3,2,3 - 4,2,3 which would make for our four counts in our measure. So now lets work on this with our metronome. If you do not have a metronome you can always go to http://www.metronomeonline.com/. Now lets start out at a nice slow 40 bpms on our metronome. Now each tick on the metronome is going to be the first beat of our triplet. So first before picking up your uke I want you to listen to the metronome at the 40 bpms and count along. The tick with be counted 1, 2, 3, the next tick will be 2, 2, 3, next 3, 2, 3, then 4, 2, 3, and start again. Once you are counting correctly out loud with the metronome you are ready to grab your uke. First look through the score and familiarize yourself with it. It is a bunch of arpeggios so if you look at it like that it will be super helpful. Once you feel comfortable enough. Set the metronome to 40 and start to play along. As you get more comfortable you can turn up the bpms on you metronome until you get to the actual tempo which is at a quasi fast 92 bpms. This is a really fun piece to practice slow or at its fast paced tempo. It sounds beautiful on the ukulele and is just a great piece to get your fingers going and get used to picking and playing with a metronome! Enjoy!
