I think a lot more time could have been taken to explain the term Therian. It's actually the short form of a longer word, Therianthrope. And Therians and experiencing Modern Therianthropy. But even simple information like that is getting lost here on Tumblr. If anyone else asks about Therianthropy, you are welcome to send them my way.

You are right, of course. 

Could have gone a little further into details with the therianthropy info.  IIRC http://www.therian-guide.com/ is still considered a pretty solid source of basic info as well, so I hope this late addition (and this answer, because, folks, knowing who to ask does help) helps a little.

You don't need to know how to growl. Human vocal cords aren't really meant to do that. People who growl often could be hurting their vocal cords or throat.

I know I don’t need to, but I want to. It frustrates me that my vocal chords aren’t meant to do that. I don’t have the need to growl often, so I won’t hurt myself. I just want to be able to make a scary noise.

Did you know that wolves eat blueberries? They also enjoy other fruits and veggies that they can find in the wild, and those are often given to wolves in sanctuaries as enrichment and health snacks. 🐾 Blueberries are also very good to nourish our human bodies too. They have fibre, high in vitamin C, and eating a cup a day can help prevent many health problems. 🍓🍌🍇🍎 I have been enjoying a blueberry and strawberry smoothie every day for a couple weeks. And I intend to keep it up. I use rice and oatmeal milk. Add some yogurt. Sometimes I add a banana too. 🐾 It's important to keep our bodies healthy even if they don't feel right and we wish we were a nonhuman animal inside and out. Healthy bodies can also mean healthier minds. I took this health cue from wolves because I needed more fruit back in my diet. I went swimming at this peaceful scenic location today. I returned home and planted more ninebark shrubs on the hill. Didn't plant the coneflowers, but I guess that's for another day. OMG! I dyed my hair black again. No more dull brown. My natural hair color just makes me feel blah and unhappy. I'm going to say it's partially related to being a Therian. Dying hair is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to change the appearance to be more like a therioside. This is such a mood enhancer for me right now. That is actually a genuine smile.
