I've been up all night after watching this mesmerising movie: Opium; diary of a mad woman. This is what great casting does to start with, but this beautiful woman who I fell head over heels with ( sensational characterisation and even greater acting performance; I've seen more movies than is healthy to be honest but have never seen an acting performance such as this, and probably never will again). I really was hoping this Doctor ( who I liked despite his shortcomings; to start with ) was going to do great things for this helpless soul. But I don't go into plots, for obvious reasons; please watch this!!! I feel really bad today. Pull your self together my other self says, it's only a movie. This is what truly remarkable films do to you; if you've got empathy. And like the best poem I ever wrote: you haven't lived until you've seen Opium, the Diary of a mad woman.
