"Are you sure you're alright with this?" Cloud had to ask in regards to Noctis being adopted by him. He never really pegged himself as the 'father' type, even if people said otherwise.

But I wonder--do humor my curiosity, if you would be so kind,” his eyebrows rose as his expression turned expectant, “do you take comfort in saying everything that has happened to you, your friends, your people has been for no reason?” For as dour as the question is, his tone stays pleasant. “Or are things only pointless when such meaninglessness makes you feel warm and fuzzy?”

       A slow smile spread over his freckled features and quickly turned into a shy grin. But Prompto shook his hand and kept his cool. Happiness flowed through him, warming his skin like the rays of the early summer sun. His grin bloomed into his typical radiant smile.

       “Always did, always will, buddy!” though, he didn’t think of himself as a ‘wonderful person’. If anything, Noct brought the best out of him.

A wide grin settles on the curve of his mouth, the smile reaching the edges of his eyes in small crinkles. “Aw, You remembered!” he say taking the proffered instant noodles, then reaches for two bowls to portion out the savory noodle soup. 

“You know we’re sharing this right? I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“How did you get yourself there?”

The four-year-old sat on the floor wrapped in a bright blue blanket while he tightly held one of his stuffed animals as he sat behind a chair in a corner. “I swimmed ‘way from sharks in a ship cause I wanted to get treasure but my foot got stuck so now I’m gonna live under the water.” Hence the blue blanket which signified said water. “How did you get here?”
