the situation

in december my dog died. then one of the cats died. then i was out of work for the whole winter holiday season, which i was still fretting over well into january.

so january was just continuing weirdness.

grandma died in february.

i had a friend visiting from out of state at the end of february and beginning of march, and that was great, but then she went home and suddenly there was a pandemic.

guess who has an autoimmune disorder?

so, grandma died

phone rang at 6:15 in the morning and my dad and my brother hadn’t even left for work yet. I knew what the call was gonna be.

no one needs to worry. I am fine. I’m not particularly sad. that sounds callous, but if I spoke to my grandparents twice in a calendar year, it was a good year. I am sad for my dad and my aunt and my uncle, but I myself am fine.

Guess who’s my new favourite FF villian, yup, Ardyn it is!

I finally got myself to play ff15 (late af I know), immediately fell in love with the game and ended up crying waterfalls at the end. I LOVE the chocobros (anyone hurt them I’ll stabbu) but the one character who caught my attention the most is Ardyn, especially after finishing the DLCs, episode Ardyn gave me so much feels and a deeper understanding for the character.

She tries not to look as endeared as she is, and fails wonderfully. Her eyes remain soft, watching him. “As much as it may pain you, it isn’t actually your job to stop every argument or scuffle that you see.” Aera reminds him, adjusting the fabric of his collar a little.

“You are a healer an not a thug, in case you’ve forgotten.” she adds, tapping his chest once more before content with how much neater he was. “Even if you tend to forget that you must look presentable” she adds, cheeks sucked in a little as she fights back a teasing look.

“It just seems a bit pointless to stand here twiddling my thumbs until they knock each other out,” he sighs, linking his hands together behind his back as she fusses with his clothes. He’s been here and there and everywhere for most of the day, and he imagines he looks like it.

“And an argument could be made,” he carries on loftily, “that preventing a pair of numbskulls from further rattling their skulls is a type of healing.” He’s never been particularly good at looking innocent, even when he is, and the trend holds true now.
