Hey y’all!
I know some of you out there are following Netflix and Chill , and may have noticed that I have not updated last week. Do not fret, I have not abandoned our boys to their demise! I’m simply working on a side project for Halloween, but I will jump right back to channel surfing with you after it is completed!
As an olive branch, I offer you a sneak peak of what to expect from this as well as exclusive information about this project… Some of you may know about my trusted partner in crime, @atems-leather-pants. Well, we have decided to treat you to a collaborative fic we are actually writing together! This is both thrilling and challenging, and taking us both out of our comfort zone… and honestly, we’re loving it!
So without further ado, here’s a teaser for you:
The first recorded case appeared in Tokyo. The doctors could not even begin to comprehend the link between the symptoms of strong fever, convulsions and blood vomiting that lead to what was referred to as Patient Zero. However, it only took a couple of hours for others to show the same symptoms and for the infection to spread. Quickly, the hospital was quarantined, but it was already too late.

He grunted and pulled at the restraint again. He needed to get out of there fast, way faster than he was currently making progress on. His senses felt as overwhelmed as his mind and his ears kept on replaying the last few definite sounds he had heard.
The click of the handcuff.
The locking of the door.
The hurried footsteps.
The bolting of the entrance.
And then silence.
Very heavy silence.
He eyed the key on the floor close to his foot, but not close enough to catch yet. He knew he needed a bit more strength to pull the heavy filer he was attached to. And the other had known that to. That it would delay his pursuit just long enough for him to already be out of sight… but not out of mind.
He smashed his head against the metal surface of the furniture and let out a few chosen curse words to the air. “Fuck this shit!”

It is finally here! @atems-leather-pants and I are so proud to share with you our Halloween offering in the form of this multichap that will be updated daily leading up to October 31st!
So this was a huge challenge for us, it took us out of our comfort zones, and we worked on both writing and editing this whole thing together! So without further ado, this is Counting the Days.

In the midst of a zombie outbreak, Bakura struggles with his inner demons, trying to catch up with Yugi who suddenly left him behind. On a similar but different path, Jounouchi also fights his own battles, looking for a safe spot for him and his partner. Over the course of one single week, they will both find unlikely traveling companions and face the reality that there are more than one kind of monster in this new world order.
