Iris is well… if her title wasn’t enough to clue you in, a cosplayer, as well as a otaku nerd. From magical girls from anime to indie web series about assassins from hell, she does it all in dressing up like the characters. She’s soft-spoken and speaks rather politely most of the time but will get excited when one of her favorite series or cosplays comes up, and has a rather bad habit of butting in to conversations and making them about her.
~!Ask Tsumugi!~
Hi there! I’m Tsumugi Shirogane, the Ultimate Cosplayer. This is my new ask blog! Open to almost any questions, just don’t be a Teruteru!!! ^^💙💙
I look forward to answering your questions!💙💙
Forever upset about the extreme underuse of Tsumugi's talent and how little credit it gets because it has the potential of being extremely powerful. It's clowned down to dress up and anime references but cosplay is a lot more than just dressing.
A passionate cosplayer thrives to portray their character in the most accurate way possible. Observation of habits and pattern, the ability to copy those and use them. So it comes with a lot of acting, perceptiveness and a keen eye for detail. What does that mean? Studying a character would mean to also note details in their mannerisms, shifts in certain situations, for example LYING. Tsumugi should be able to read people on par with Kokichi. If she had been more useful in the prior trials, the reveal would have been so much more meaningful. But she barely does anything of note, and only becomes important once the plot demands it. Never liked the cos pox stuff because it disproves itself later. But what if she could dress up as her classmates, much like Sagishi maybe, to churn distrust among the class for actions she instigated but are believed to have commited by someone else? Damn it.
HAW-YEE!!! I finally have the time to draw my own things! I've been planning this piece for a long time and I worked on it for the entire day. Quite happy with how this turned out.
I also did a speedpaint which is something I've been wanting to try for a while now. Here's the link==> https://youtu.be/nTOSQwjXvXw
ENJOY!
"Oh, my name is Tsumugi Shirogane. I'm the Ultimate Cosplayer. Are you... surprised? I get that a lot, since I'm so plain."
YOOO I FORGOT TODAY WAS TSUMUGI'S BIRTHDAY
A little fun fact:
This cosplay is different from all the other ones I made for a reason: it's made from stuff I already had at home belonging to other characters' costumes, such as:
Midnight's (My Hero Academia) contacts, corset and wig
Peko's glasses
Momo's (MHA) blouse
Celestia's petticoat and jacket
Mitsuha's (Your Name) cord
Sooo yeah. I decided to portray the Ultimate Cosplayer in my own way, and I dare to say I am satisfied with the result!✨
Ohhhh, man, this one was so hard to do and I don’t know why :c maybe it was a creative block? Or art block, I can’t remember how it’s called, hgfdhrf
I also made two versions with different filters/PSD’s, because I didn’t like the way it looked the first time, buuuut now I’m curious, what is your favorite?
