I'm surprised I've not seen much of a sonic and shadow role swap au

For ur role swap au, what sort of interactions would Eggman and Maria have? We don’t really get to see them interact in canon & they have wildly different perceptions of their grandfather. If they’re still cousins in ur au, I think that would make for interesting conflicts

Both of them revere Gerald Robotnik, and both inheret his genius. Maria never met him because she was born years after the ARK incident.

Maria despises her cousin. She has a lot of pride in her families name and believes her cousins schemes are tarnishing her grandfather's legacy. She also hates his rampant destruction of the natural world, being a lover of nature herself. They've fought on opposite sides multiple times, Maria often creating tech to help Shadow stop her cousin. She developed the hover shoes for Shadow so he could keep up with Metal Shadow, who was naturally a lot faster than him.

Her first major confrontation with her cousin is in Adventure 1, where she stops him blowing up the city with a mech she built which she'd reuse in Adventure 2.

Maria has a deep respect for her grandfather up until the ending of Adventure 2. After finding out he was intending on destroying the world, she's distraught. She'd been fighting her cousin in part to preserve his legacy, but realized it wasn't a legacy worth fighting for.

I can't decide if I'm gonna write a ShtH scene for ultimatelifeform swap or not bc the idea of a slightly more edgy ulfs!Sonic using a gun is even funnier than Game!Shadow using a gun
