ULTIMATES BOOK CLUB, OCTOBER SCHEDULE:

Alright folks, the poll results are in and the Ultimate Stony Server mods are happy to announce the schedule for our first month of book clubs! All Clubs are going to be held on FRIDAYS AT 20:00 UTC (what time is that for me)

Here’s our schedule:

October 16th: THE ULTIMATES (1) ISSUES 1 - 4 

October 23rd: THE ULTIMATES (1) ISSUES 5 - 8 

October 30th: THE ULTIMATES (1) ISSUES 9 - 13 

November 6th: CATCH UP CLUB / ULTIMATE WAR 

If you’ve not heard of Ults book club before, click here. Our first class falls smack bang on Ultimates day, so feel free to hop into the server early to meet everyone and enjoy the celebration! (Join our server here)

Ultimates 1 is quintessential ults reading, and makes for an easy if wild start to a universe. If reading comics interests you give it a go and drop in for our first club and see how you feel! Stick around long enough and you might get a badge. And don’t be afraid of falling behind, there are going to be plenty of catch up weeks so everyone can keep up!

It’s time for the Ultimates day celebrations to begin! We have three days of fun packed activities for people to partake in, culminating on Ults day itself with the beginning of our next book club!

Below is a schedule for what each day is going to hold, so you can pick and choose how you partake. Should you jump in the fun with us, you will be rewarded! Take part in an Ults day activity, be it the rec list, cigar club discussions, or book club itself, and you’ll qualify for our participants postcard!

I sure hope this sounds as fun to you all as it does to us! We’ll be kicking off today simply with our dress up icons and rec list recreations! @loraneldin has prepared a whole host of exciting ults icons for people to try out while they party with us, you can find them in the server!

Our rec list recreation is simply an encouragement from us for everyone to please drop their favourite works in our rec feed over the next three days! More info inside!

It’s the day you’ve all been waiting for - no? Just us? It’s the day WE’VE been waiting for; Ults day is finally here!

We had a delightful time exploring the Ultimate Avengers movies with you all yesterday, even in multiple languages, and we had a thriving panel exchange going on that we’d love to continue today.

This is going to be our most packed day so far! Most of our events are carrying on from previous days; we have two more theatre slots, more cigar club questions, and we want those recs! But there’s still more to come today.

With this being the last full day of activities, it’s time to show off the first part of our Participants Postcard! Isn't she pretty…

This is only the first HALF of our postcard; everyone who has joined in with one of our events is eligible for a personalised card. What do we mean by eligible? So that we can verify you joined in, all you need to have done is spoken in the server as a part of an event. Did you join us in our cigar club talks? That counts. Did you do as little as check in verbally for Ults day theatre? That counts too! And if you haven't you’ve got all the way till it's no longer 16/10/2020 anywhere in the world to join in! hop into the server and fill in the form we’ve provided to get your own!

At some point in the day, we’re going to be announcing and showing our otherer most special surprise. Keep your eyes peeled for it, we’ve been talking it up for a while...

And perhaps most importantly, BOOK CLUB BEGINS AGAIN TONIGHT! You can see this post for details we went into earlier this week, but to refresh club begins TONIGHT at 20:00 UTC  (what time is that for me) and we are reading the first four issues of THE ULTIMATES (1).

If you’ve never read a comic, or you’ve read them all, drop in and join us! This is a really fun comic, and you can get a taste at the book club atmosphere. We love running book clubs—we’ve been at it for two and a half years now—and we have no intention of stopping anytime soon. Even if you have been with us in years past, we have even more in our new line up!

Merry Ultsmas eve folks!

We had a fantastic day yesterday, playing dress up, and we are overjoyed by how much people used the rec feed. Now, onto today's activities.

Cigar club debate, share your favourites!

To continue the theme of sharing our Ults love, @loraneldin is going to be asking some questions about canon in our debate room, the cigar club! Even if you haven't read many comics, you should still be able to join in and enjoy the discussions! Step on over to the server and Loran will explain. Please be warned, Cigar club is NOT a spoiler free environment, but if that doesn't bother you, hop right in!

Ults Day Theatre!

Returning by popular demand, Ults Day Theatre is back open for business. At times listed below, the server is going to be streaming the Ultimates movies, Ultimate Avengers, and Ultimate Avengers 2! Never heard of them before? There may be good reasons for that, but they’re still a fun time, and follow along with the early canon!

Don't worry if you’ve never watched discord streams before, we’re happy to help you enjoy the film with all of us. And if you can’t make any of today's slots, fear not, we will be running two more showings tomorrow.
