I haven’t had any extra thoughts about the Hanging Tree since we last discussed it. Love how much Tyburn enjoyed making Peter awkward.

Let’s see…in my library stack I’ve got:-Dracula-Hamlet-Romeo and Juliet-Irish Fairytales and Folklore -The Simarillion -Tales From the Perilous Realm (collection of short J.R.R. Tolkien stories)-Fragile Things (collection of short Neil Gaiman stories)-Time Lord Fairytales -and One Piece volumes 80-82

I used to love classics, so I’m trying to rekindle that. There’s a bunch of books I own that I still need to read too though.

Gaming final

Setting/scene: Protagonist (half deity) meeting the Antagonist (a conjured beast that physically joins with the king who summoned it).

Um... There’s no other way to put this. Ahem. I broke the creep-o-meter writing a fantasy game.

Let me explain. I haven’t made my classic creepy villain in any of my grad work. So, since this game plot has a villain that has the bark lines of “Beg/your blood smells good/your lives are mine until I say otherwise” I thought that it was time to put no limits on what’s added to the scene content that introduces this big baddy.

And since this is a full text game...I went overboard. There’s blood soaked ground, gore dangling from trees, and the villain eating a victim’s heart in front of the protagonist. (Plus the villain giving the line, “Eating you now would be a waste, you’re not ripe for the picking.”)

So, question of the week is “How stoked or creeped out will my teachers and peers be?” (Male peers will probably cackle in glee and ask me if I’m going to finish it.)
