A new life was born underneath the ruins of where it all began. A tiny, pale little boy with a monster’s DNA.

Zeno moved silently, a ghost wherever he went. Known by few, hated for the sin of existing. He was used to it, used to be seen as a ghost of a man he resented….yet also craved deeply to know.

This time, the ghost appeared to Dr. Caresa Duvall. Silent, calm….almost ethereal.

Gone for good. That was funny. Maybe he should’ve been gone. Maybe he should’ve abandoned his research and ran for the hills with both Annette and Sherry in tow while they still had the chance. But he’d put too much time and effort into his work to bail now. Even with Umbrella out to get him, William found himself scrambling to gather up what he could before they barged in here to reprehend him. “I’m not going anywhere until I get my precious G out of here.” He grumbled to his coworker. “I won’t let them take away my life’s work..”

Over his dead body would he ever let them just walk in here and take it from him.

Pausing temporarily in his frantic motions, William glanced over his shoulder at Caresa, a look of urgency in his eyes. He was a desperate man right now. He’d need help getting everything out if he didn’t want to risk leaving anything behind. “Help me? We don’t have much time left. They’ll be here soon. They.. they’re going to kill me.” And her too, if they saw fit.

Well, that was different. Straight off the bat, someone recognized her from her sordid past she tried to bury. She was about to play it off until she recognized him from the employee roster. Dr. Victor Gideon... No use in lying, might as well just open up about everything. "Yes, I did. I was Dr. Caresa Duvall. I recognize you from the employee roster, Dr. Gideon. May I ask what brings you to Wrenwood?" she asked, dreading the answer, and considerably dreading the whole situation.

His grin widened into a full smile at that. Running into old colleagues was a rare occurrence these days; so many had turned into hideous mutated creatures (not that he had room to judge), offed themselves after falling into financial ruin, or gone into hiding to escape the long arm of the law.

And don't think he didn't pick up on that past tense, either. Of course she'd be living under an assumed name these days.

"I had a very important meeting I had to attend," he answered cordially. "I run a mental health clinic not too far outside of the city, the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center."

After seeing the absolute HORRORS that Umbrella created after many years of 'shut down', her stomach CHURNS at speaking to someone who WILLING worked for them. She's read this other woman's records thanks to her FBI clearance: a scientist turned into a practicing high-school teacher.

Is it merely a cover to continue diabolical research?

Grace is unsure, but the platinum blonde plans to nail every single person involved in that appalling organization. How she hopes this Caresa Duvall can be of assistance in achieving this goal.

Zeno detests medical facilities since that's where he spent most of his life as a child. But he pushes through it since Victor Gideon pretty much lives in them and Zeno needs Victor to uncover the key to Elpis.

“We’ve never met, right? You seem familiar.”

Victor peered down at the pretty thing speaking to him. He wasn't approached very often as most people tended to give him a wide berth due to his imposing size. He tilted his head as he regarded her, scanning through his memories as he tried to place where he had seen her face before. Oh, yes, I remember now.

He grinned down at her and gave a little bow. "Dr. Victor Gideon," he purred. "You worked for Dr. Birkin, if I remember correctly, didn't you?"
