A boy sat alone in his room. He was knelt down on a soft pillow. A small candle dimly lit the space around him. In his lap, he tightly clutched a katana. It was already late at night, yet he couldn't bear to sleep. Too much had happened that day; too much had happened these past few months, to be honest.
Today was his mother's funeral.
