There was a girl... Once. Though she is only a foggy memory to Shisui now. She was unable to wait for his feelings to be shown to her and left him for another and it has left him a little cautious about falling for someone now/

Ino waved her hand aside and shook her head.

“Oh no, don’t worry about a gift- I cant possibly think that you even imagined I’d be married here,” she laughed. Even she wouldn’t believe such a thing were possible a month or so ago.

Her groom still woke up in disbelief at times. Heh.

“Sensei... I do have to ask... do you know the identity of my husband?” 

It was just... Iruka wasn’t freaking out if he did know- and if he didn’t... well he would freak out then.
