"i'm already on my way." - @fortuniis ( gepard )
something had happened.
𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 ⸻ the last thing she remembered was sitting on a couch in the parlor car of the astral express talking with himeko when suddenly the rough jousting of movement rocked her body back & forth like a ragdoll before everything went black. before long, a familiar chill awoke her from her sudden slumber, & she managed to pull herself together enough to check her surroundings & recognize the landscape in which her injured body laid : jarilo-iv.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐝 was try to contact anyone from the crew by sending a group-wide message on their shared chat, however either the signal or her phone must’ve been busted for none of her messages to get pushed through. she could see everyone else talking to each other, wondering where she was & admitting to calling her but got greeted with a dead line. no matter how many times she texted [ i’m okay. i think i’m in jarilo-iv ], nothing was sent, therefore no one could come rescue her.
just her luck.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 as whatever happened between the train & now must’ve granted her enough damage to where she needed some time to recover before puppeteering her limbs to move once more. though she knew that, while the trailblaze would keep her warm, it wasn’t fool proof when it came to her being in some sort of critical condition. she needed help ⸻ & fast ⸻ so the next best thing she could do was muster up enough energy to unleash an arrow skyward & have it explode to capture the attention of, hopefully, allies nearby.
why must she be in this predicament?
𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐡𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐬, but she figured it wouldn’t be wise to drift into sleep in the middle of a winter wonderland, so she’d shake her head every so often to keep her attentive. her phone remained by her side to where she could faintly see delayed messages reach the chat, & she would keep spamming the same text over & over until one would eventually push through.
𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, a distant voice boomed in the distance then, assisting in regaining some of that drained energy to turn her head towards the direction of the sound. a sigh of relief in a puff of cold air emitted as her efforts were not in vain, & march would hoarsely call back out to help direct whoever it was towards her location.
❝ i’m here .ᐟ.ᐟ ❞
