Caught a Mayate, a small mexican beetle with amazing color but unfortunately on the brink of extintion, he was tired and we just picked him up thinking it would die as it was not moving and bottom up, but after some minutes the Mayate started moving, and then tried its wings and finally took off to the skies. We used to see them everyday and now it's really rare to see them. Please don't kill them. They are wonderful and beautiful and we have to protect them. (BTW, this is not my photo, my scleroderma hands would never be so beautiful, it belongs to an Hidalgo state blog)
