"I’m willing to be your monster."

A rowdy commotion at the café caught Tangguo's attention. At first, he felt a concern, leaned back in his seat away from his book and tea to catch a glimpse of what was happening. He'd only caught the second half of the argument, and so couldn't truly understand what had been the cause of the trouble.
It seemed some customer was quite upset with the person behind the counter. Tangguo usually wouldn't find entertainment in such things, but... the way this one carried themselves... his quick responses, his body language. It made Tangguo smile. What a cute little thing.
Tangguo finished off what was left of his tea and put his book away in the pocket of his cloak, adorned with faux fur, lace, silk, jewels. His long necklaces tapped against his chest that his deep plunging v-neck his silk blouse exposed.
"It's alright," he eased up behind the stranger, fingers casually waving, the till suddenly opened, "I think you want to give him his money back."
The staff member, stunned and confused, didn't know what to do other than take the money out of the till and hold it out.
