I’d also like to officially announce that I’m working on a super-duper fan comic based around the Unbeatables! I don’t know when the first issue will be finished, but I’m going to work reeeaaallly hard to get it to you guys ASAP.

This is just a temp cover by the way; the real one will be much more complicated.

2020 Project Updates

Hey, doodlebugs! My hardest college semester is over and my free time has been greatly extended, so I figured now would be a good time for some updates on the projects I have planned for the new decade.

=== Unbeatables ===

Due to the high quantities of studying and homework I had to do over the last few months, work on the Unbeatables comic has been minimal, but still ongoing. While I don’t have anything related to Issue #1 ready for display just yet, here is a concept piece for the first outside member of the group, Ironheart!

=== Project FORWARD ===

The Project FORWARD trading cards are on very temporary hiatus as I prepare the designs and backstories for lots of new characters that live across the world of Gaia. Here’s a very early sketch of what will likely be the first card for that second set, the menacing outlaw named Goldseeker.

=== Project BLAZAR ===

Earlier in October I started work on a new project that has heavy distant-future science fiction elements called Project BLAZAR. The plot is loosely based on the short story Who Can Replace a Man? by Brian Aldiss, as well as several contemporary science fiction films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey and Interstellar. In it, a humanoid robot gathers a small group of automatons to search for the last living human being in a galaxy that has long rendered them extinct; throughout their journey, the robot and his companions learn about the many positive and negative qualities of human behaviors while second-guessing their own mortality and whether or not reinvigorating the human species is even a good idea to begin with. I don’t have a lot of visual designs ready yet, but I’m excited to see where this project pans out in terms of presentation and scale - it might even take the form of a novel, who knows?
