Even if he had given something to Vegito on his birthday, he didn't really expect anything back from the fusion. Maybe a nod of acknowledgement, or even a little just a little thumbs up, and that would've really blown his expectations away.

But no, this was a genuine gift being given, as well as a good luck charm. He gently plucks the charm out of his father's hands, silently staring at it and looking it over. He tried not to believe in luck, for if he did, it certainly would seem like his luck was in utter shambles. But maybe, just maybe, this would help things go his way a bit more. It already helped with his luck of getting acknowledgement from a version of his father, which was something he hadn't expected. His fingers would gently wrap around it, and a smile would be given to Vegito.

"Thank you, Father. I'll be sure to keep it close to me. Who knows? If luck really does exist, I'll need as much of it as I can get."

He really didn't want to risk going through a third apocalypse, maybe it was time he started trying to skew odds in his favor.
