More than that, Ninazu is a kind soul with saint-level patience, understanding and empathy, though she too has her vices. Regardless, all she wants is to care for others, and do her best to protect those who are important to her -- no matter the means.

idea I will doodle out later: Nina's healing ability having more visual indication, like light not only coming from beneath her fingertips, but also having lines of light appear on her arms (not necessarily like veins, just lines) and flowing down to her hands, and her eyes lighting up or slightly changing color. Probably more yellow than orange, at least where the color isn't concentrated. And the person she heals is also visually affected, but probably no more than having a normal glow.

hey uhhh, I don't know how much reach I actually have here anymore, but I figure I might as well--

After years of being unable to visit a dentist, I finally have -- and I've found out that I need two procedures done. I don't currently have access to insurance, so the procedures will be pretty pricey. Commission funds will be put towards paying for those upcoming bills, as will Patreon funds from hereon until they're paid off.

I don't have a set surgery date yet, nor do I know yet how much the more expensive procedure will cost, so as of now, there is no deadline. I do have a consultation scheduled for a week-and-a-half from now. My safe-bet estimation is that both together will cost up to or approximately $4,000 -- but I am not hoping, or expecting, to raise that much.

I am not taking donations -- only commission funds. I don't feel comfortable just taking donations. You may commission me through VGen to streamline the process, though I also take payment through PayPal and Venmo. If payment goes through PayPal, please wait for me to send an invoice first.

I will try to be communicative and efficient while also taking breaks when I need, if for whatever reason I have multiple projects going on at once. Thank you for your continued support, and I appreciate the patrons that I have very much. Content will proceed as normal, though may slow depending on the amount of stuff on my plate.

❝ It's like they don't even care if they get hurt! ❞ 

The Kai's fussing pairs with a surge of ki, mending the unconscious champion under her touch. Her own universe's fighters and Ninazu's own getting into a... Friendly competition which, of course, the two of them are left to mend the wounds of. Marcille's concern and exasperation palpable, hands humming with a warm glow. An almost overwhelmed, ( not so ) anxiety coming to be shared in the presence of her fellow healer. ❝ 'Oh Marcille, relax!', 'You're stressing too much', of course I am! You people can blow up planets and you're slapping each-other for.. Enrichment! ❞

  She sighs out what should've been a sob, but wasn't. Perhaps in spirit, it was. ❝ Why can't they just go out and get some ice cream or popcorn or something normal? ❞

The frantic exasperation exerted by the kai beside her was not an unfamiliar sight -- in fact, it was almost nostalgic, reminding the healer of her personal moments of crisis back when she had less experience. While the sentiment remains even to this day, Ninazu has since calmed down, no longer chastising (as much) those that she tends to. Nonetheless, her normalization of the circumstance didn't change how she felt about it.

❝I know what you mean,❞ she laughs, albeit lightly. ❝I felt that way too, at first. I still do more often than not. But I guess they've done this so often by now that this feels like the new normal.❞ Her gaze drifts off to the celebration behind them, catching small snippets of eager chatter from those she deems close friends. The look in her eyes turns fond, as does her smile.

❝Sometimes I still scold them, but at the same time… I like feeling like I'm needed. Besides, when I'm around, I at least know that they'll be okay because I can step in at any time. It's when they don't tell me what's happening that drives me nuts.❞

Her schedule had been open today. She had weekends off from work, and Vegito had elected to go off for a rigorous training session with Whis on Beerus' planet; leaving her with her own plans to form. Calling up Ninazu to see if she wanted to hang out was what Amita landed on, soon coming to relax in the living room. She had been expecting Zamasu to be here as well, but he was out at the moment getting fresh air, having taken his pet pig Chai with him. Could've been a concern, if she hadn't already been briefed on the development of his improved behavior.

Amita honestly didn't want to talk at length about the current situation though, as what else could be said that hasn't already? And there was a particular skill the younger woman possessed that had piqued her interest a long time ago; now was good a time as any to inquire.

❝So-❞ She lowered her mug, having taken a sip of tea- ❝I know you can heal, but I've never gotten the memo on how it works. Do you mind humoring me?❞

Her lack of direct involvement with Goku's group over the years, over a decade at this point, meant she didn't know most of their history. She was aware Ninazu had managed to heal severe wounds Zamasu had been dealt by the hands of Trunks and her significant other; it called back to the nagging wonder. Amita was confident in her intricate understanding of ki manipulation, but in its apparent regenerative properties - not so much. Blocking or unblocking ki was different from regrowing damaged flesh.

❝Oh?❞ It wasn't an uncommon question, though it equally wasn't one she heard in a long time. Nevertheless, she was happy to indulge. Ninazu pauses, mulling over how to approach the explanation.

❝From what I know, it's because I'm half Ankian that my regeneration and healing are so advanced. They're biologically adept at that kind of thing, or… at least, they were, when more of them were around.❞ She shrugs away the discomfort of the topic, not wishing to delve entirely into that mess. ❝I've learned a little more about medicine and biology over the past few years to help make my ability more efficient and precise, but that doesn't change how it works overall. To sum it up, firstly, I have to touch someone.❞ She raises her hand in example. Executing the same process as she would if she were healing someone, she allows the ki to run through her fingers, brightening the pads of her fingertips with an orange light. ❝I can touch anywhere, it doesn't have to be the wound itself. As long as I'm touching any spot on the body, it works all the same, but it works a little faster with skin-to-skin contact. I transfer my healing ki at a speedy but steady rate into the other person, and that accelerates the body's natural healing process significantly. It can differ slightly depending on if the person I'm healing is already proficient in regeneration or not. The more I use it on someone, the stronger it gets for that specific person -- the same applies to my regeneration for myself. It's become almost automatic by now.❞

The hand returns to her lap, lightless and normal. She reaches for the provided tea, taking a sip and relishing in the gentle taste, something she's become quite fond of over the last several months.

❝It was a lot of trial and error at first,❞ she muses thoughtfully, stirring the tea by motion of the mug alone. ❝I didn't understand it for a long time, either. I always used my ability subconsciously even as a kid, like when I was in ballet class and never seemed to get hurt, or whenever I cooked and nicked myself but the wound never lasted long. After I found out about it thanks to Goku's help, I had to figure out how to train it myself. It was messy and inefficient at first, I was burning through ki fast. I'm a renewable resource, but not a limitless one.❞ Ninazu laughs, lighthearted.

❝But I've gotten much better over the years. I'm happy that everyone's come to rely on me.❞

❝Would you believe me if I said I knew what I was doing...?❞ Asked with a tepid hesitance devoid of any confidence, which surely adds to its authenticity.

She overtly pauses, memories of actions and events playing before her eyes that match exactly what he describes, many of which are performed by herself. She goes quiet, tight-lipped.

❝... Okay, as far as myself -- I can't dispute that.❞ Lest she be a hypocrite. ❝But it's not without reason!❞

I know I said I'd be back -- and I'm still here, checking in every day -- but I can't really keep ignoring a truth I've known for years now: it's very, very dead this side of the DB fandom, and it's increasing difficult to maintain motivation, even with the prospect of crossover material. I have never wanted to complain about that because I understand when people move on, or when other things take their attention, and I'm still content enough with the few consistent people I write and plot with here, but like... I can't lie, it's rough on some days. I usually mark those days as "off" and come back later and it's fine, but, hhhh. I know I shouldn't complain because who am I to talk when I'm not here consistently, and frankly I don't like expressing my feelings out in the open much anymore, but it gets under my skin more than it should sometimes.

That said, I'm also trying to revive an old blog / dip into other fandoms again, but even that's slow going. I just miss this hobby and want things to do at my own pace. When it comes down to it, I'm fine with things being slow -- I think I just miss feeling like there's stuff going on.

this doesn't really mean anything, I'm just yapping about a dead horse that's been beaten several times for several years by now.

The kai's name getting mentioned does drop the man's eyebrows somewhat, but Vegito does not interject as Ninazu began describing the latest events. Truly, a lot of time has passed and allowed him to come to grips with the new reality they all were living under. He still believed it was a very dangerous decision that could not make a difference in the end, but…perhaps he was wrong. Ninazu wouldn't lie about the treatment she's received. Or at least, Vegito hoped she wouldn't.

It was so strange to hear such positive speech about Zamasu. Not when memories of he murdering the non-divine left and right were still vivid, fresh. How could someone like that undergo an extreme evolution, and become an entirely different person? It felt naive, like a children's fairytale story that painted the world under rose-tinted glasses. How there were many arguments that could be made on whether Zamasu had deserved a chance of redemption or not was a different conversation at that.

But that's not why he was here. What happened has happened, and he would be a fool to put the planet at risk because he dare defy Zeno. For what it's worth, if the kai shockingly did want to turn a new leaf, then…his only option would be to stay to the side and observe. It's not like Zamasu presently had power to cause more global destruction.

❝…A pet pig?❞ The Saiyan squints in disbelief. He was vaguely aware of the kais collectively owning animal companions, King Kai had Bubbles after all, but a pig for Zamasu was not at all what he would've guessed. One would think an uptight, vain deity would gravitate towards animals associated with a higher sense of cleanliness.

❝Interesting… Well. I wouldn't be opposed.❞ He crossed his arms. While Vegito wouldn't say he likes raining on parades, he's not so gullible to assume their living situation had been entirely sunshine and rainbows. ❝But more importantly, I must ask... How have YOU been, Nina? No further issues have surfaced?❞

It seems she couldn't stop herself from gushing, though however begrudgingly, Vegito allowed her the pass to do so. She can't imagine he was at all fond of hearing Zamasu's name spoken in such a positive light, something she only occasionally remembers due to her close proximity to the reformed kai in question and her lack of communication with his detractors. Still, she recalls to be careful, not wanting to push a boundary over the edge after having already done so ten times over.

She offers an enthusiastic nod in contrast to his disbelief, soon followed by the widest grin she could muster when he indulges her request (a reply of acceptance she would undoubtedly mark as an RSVP for sooner rather than later). It sparks a little hope in her heart; maybe she could safely combine the two parts of her family, after all.

❝Me?❞ Somehow, she's surprised. So much of her time and brain power was dedicated to Zamasu's well being that she hardly offered any of that courtesy to herself.

❝I'm… better,❞ is the word she settles on. ❝Much better than I was at first. I had… a lot of anxiety in the beginning.❞ Reflecting on the past stung, even now. Many weeks had passed since then, her psyche since calming and balancing itself out; an enormous contrary to the start of this endeavor. Of course Vegito would know nothing of the near-sleepless nights, the arguments, the hostility and lack of communication between the two for the first month or so, as he was still out of contact at the time. Even for as stressed as she was, she didn't think to impart her woes upon him, though that may have partly been due to fear that he would rectify what he thought to be a mistake in the first place.

❝There haven't been any other issues.❞ Never mind the occasional reality-shaking flashback or ultimately harmless nightmare, she bypassed those out of forceful ignorance. There were conversation topics among the two that Ninazu directly chose to dance around or outright avoid. Nonetheless, she's cheerful in her report, even if her words are chosen carefully. Fondness still seeps into both her smile and eyes. ❝It's been smooth sailing for quite awhile now. It's… nice to come home and hear a 'welcome back' from someone.❞
