From the get go, Secret Santa had been a tradition at Bar 77. Needless to say, it was an argument at the Bolton residence. Jack insisting on Cassidy showing up for the event to show family unity and Cassidy pointing out he was fired by his old man two months ago and he could care less about the bar. Of course, it was Evelyn who entered the conversation to calm things down between the two men. It was then she revealed she signed him up for Secret Santa and explained he would be doing her a favor by making an appearance. Deep down, Cassidy knew it was Evelyn’s attempt to get him out of the house, even for a few hours. Something, to snap him out of his funk and she knew if anyone could talk Cassidy into something, it was his mother.
The middle Bolton arrived early to the bar, mainly to snag the back corner booth. If he had to be there, he at least wanted to be hidden by the shadows in the back. At first, things seemed to be going well a few Christmas songs came over the stereo and people started to gather for the merry tradition. Yet, as more people began entering the place the more unease he started to become. Tapping his finger against the table, he clearly was anxious from the amount of people, the noise and everything causing sensory overload. Taking a deep breath, he placed his noise cancelling headphones on and began writing on a notepad trying to distract him, not realizing someone approached the table.
