Hello, citizens of NoLa. Admin Jay here. And welcome to what I am calling “Connections Week”.

Do you have a wanted connection for your character that you wish someone could fill? An idea for someone to connect to your baby? We all want to see everyone interact and have connections to the other babies here.

Thought about putting in a wanted connection for a family member? Cousin? Sibling? Parent? What about a long lost friend? An ex? A significant other of some kind? What about a friends with benefits? Whatever you can think of? We want to see it. Throw all of your wanted connections at us and we’ll try to get them filled. So fill out a wanted connection and send it into us. Or, if you’re feeling up to it, try to fill one already there at the same time. We want all of the connections to come to you lovelies so submit away.

And never forget- if you think one of our current characters can fill a connection you were considering for your bean? Approach us. Looking for an ex? Maybe one of the people here fits. A best friend? Shoot someone a line. We’re here to make connections if you want to, just throw the idea out there. Or, if you just want to try to connect with a character here and aren’t sure how yet? Chat up the mun. We’re all friendly, I promise.

Hello lovely members! It’s time for the first NoLa event! For Valentine’s Day, we’ll be doing a picnic basket date auction! All proceeds will go to various charities around the city, and participation is not mandatory (for players or characters, but obviously the more the merrier!). Basically, anyone who wants to participate as an auctioned off date will put together a picnic basket with all the things they’d like to bring on a first date. Other people will then place their bids based on what’s in the basket, rather than who put it together! Obviously, for plotting purposes, we’re willing to let you guys choose who you would like to end up with. But- if you’re up for a random coupling, let us know! We’ll randomize anyone who wants it to end up with someone’s basket! The event will run from the 14th through the 21st of February. You are not required to set aside non-event threads during that time. Please send a message to the main or drop a note in the inbox by February 9th to let us know if you’ll be participating, whether or not you’ve spoken with another mun about pairing your characters or if you want a random pairing, and if your character is putting themselves on the block, what’s in their picnic basket?
