This is so stupid but do you think if Bane really had turned out to be Bruce's half brother it could have ended up becoming the Kravencest of Batman comics? Because their dynamic in those issues is. a lot. not sure if in a good or bad way
man literally when I was reading the first issue of that little adventure I was thinking wow... the boys are getting a little bit flirty with it... and then at the end Bane goes "I think we're half brothers btw" and I was like okay. well. not even my fault this time. I'm as surprised as anyone else.
anyway they wouldn't be my personal cup of tea as a ship because I was genuinely really interested in them having a (normal, nonsexual) late in life long lost sibling dynamic because both of their reactions were SO INTERESTING and honestly I think it's a shame that it was disproven so quickly because continuing integrating Bane into the family could have been a cool long-running storyline and it would have been so much juicier when it turns out he's not a blood relative if he'd had time to make some meaningful connections... anyway I wouldn't personally have wanted them to smash in that scenario but I'm sure many would
