.) Delphini could always count on Uncle Rod to slip treats into her bag before she left for Hogwarts. For her first few years he would stick with package of sweets, or perhaps a new book. As she got older he quickly substituted that for a small bottle of Firewhiskey. She'd find his little gifts in all sorts of places when she unpacked - he never missed. Whether it was a quick weekend home or a holiday break, he was always sure to sneak in something extra for her.
.) She only ever called him 'dad' once. Bellatrix was so quick to correct her that she had hardly had the chance to fully pronounce the word. Although she was young, Delphi can still remember being very confused. She learned to call him Roddy that same day, the Uncle bit came later, she'll never forget the look on his face though.
.) Delphini was eight years old the first time she heard Death Eaters talking poorly about her Uncle Roddy. She was hiding along the grand staircase, watching the Death Eaters funnel in for an inner circle meeting, two of them would not shut up about his "situation." She had never thought twice about their strange little family before, but was now suddenly overcome with guilt. She didn't speak to him for several days after, going out of her way to avoid him. When he finally managed to corner her she broke down and asked if he hated her. He held her for a long while and assured her that - "No, no he could never."
.) When Delphini first went to Hogwarts, she was having a very difficult time making friends in classes and in Slytherin. She was far too ashamed to talk to her parents about it, Uncle Rod was actually the first person she went to for advice. He spent a long time hearing her out and sympathizing with some of her issues, and even went as far as role playing some interactions she could try. He was the first to tell her that her parents also had a very challenging time making friends at Hogwarts. Delphini felt less like a failure after that.
.) The only reason that Delphini watches Quidditch is because of Rodolphus. Her parents never cared for the sport, but he had played in school, and she had always loved the stories he used to tell her about it when she was small. They went to several matches together throughout the years, just the two of them.
