the year is 2014, though nobody really kept track anymore. the pungent smell of death and decay had not left the air since outbreak day, but if you asked bucky he’d say he barely noticed it anymore.
bucky had lost his parents soon after the world ended and was now the sole caretaker of his little sister, rebecca. they’d both managed to survive with no major injuries outside of quarantine zones. through their travels they meet a girl, brown haired and wide eyed, and little did they both know how much she’d impact their lives.
