If this demon's intention was to get a rise out of him, he was certainly unsuccessful. Al merely tilts his head, appraising the other with a raised brow. "Just because you see a smile, don't assume you know what's behind it," he chides. He runs a hair through his locs, bones and teeth woven therein clinking, as he readjusts in his seat.
"Suppose I thought you killed for a reason. We're both from N'Orleans, after all, and I can think of hundreds of hapless men there that deserve a quick, bloody end. And I don't think that's villainous. I think that's goddamn heroic. I know I got plenty o' hurt for the color o' my skin. Texture o' my hair. Just thought I'd return the favor."
Both are mirrors of the other, gentility in a suit and tie, but beneath the veneer hides a creature hungry for slaughter. But to Al, at least, this one was too passion-led. Too shiftless. They might share a name but they didn't share motivations, or power.
Pitiful little sinner probably couldn't even see past the petty squabbles of the Pride ring.
"If you're the villain of this story, then, what have you done that's so noteworthy?"
