The Start II Undefeated-Torres
Katie and Jake have a big fight and Katie goes to Drew for comfort.
Katie had noticed that over the next few days, her and Jake were fighting more and more, she hated it, but she didn't know how she could stop. He just wanted to go out and smoke every night instead of staying home with her, instead of trying to have a baby. She knew that he didn't want a baby, and sh just...hated it. After a particular bad fight, that ended in her leaving the house and driving around for a few hours, she finally broke down crying and took out her phone. She debated calling Marisol and talking to her, but she knew that she would just tell her to go back to Jake, to apologize and make up and that wasn't what she wanted, she wanted to just forget about it for a few hours. So instead, she dialed Drew's number, hoping that he would pick up and that maybe they could just talk. The two had been texting recently, and she just...felt like it was right to call him.
Drew had been cleaning up after summer and talking to Katie lately, he knew he felt something, he had gone to adams grave and knew that Adam would of forgiven Katie so why couldn't he? He just didn't know if it was right to ever get with the girl plus she was married. Hearing his phone ring he sighed softly as he set dinner in the oven so summer could eat eventually and picked up. "Andrew Torres, who's calling?" Truthfully he hadn't even looked at his phone when he picked up he had been moving around too much.
Katie felt something for Drew, but she never expected him to have feelings for her after what she had done, after killing his brother. And yet, here she was, calling him as she sat in her car and just tried to keep it together. When she heard his voice, she wiped her tears away and bit her lip. "And here I thought you had my number," she teased, hoping that he couldn't tell that she had been crying. "Is...this a bad time? I'm sorry...I shouldn't have called," she said, shaking her head, telling herself she was stupid to call him like this.
Drew laughed hearing it was Katie. "Oh hey sorry, I do I just didn't look at my phone, cooking and calls don't mix." He told her as he walked back from the stove. "No it's fine I just got dinner in the oven for Summer and I, you alright? You don't usually call." Drew questioned softly as he looked at his daughter playing with her blocks on the floor and he let the chicken and potatoes cook as he went and sat on the couch watching his little girl play.
Katie bit her lip and smiled slightly when he said that he did. "Ah, yes, that makes sense," She said, biting her lip, still thinking that maybe...she was making a huge mistake still. "I just...Jake and I had a big fight...and I just...I didn't know who to call," she admitted, feeling tears run down her cheeks again. "But you should go play with Summer...you don't have to...talk to me," she told him, figuring that he wouldn't want to talk with her anyways.
Drew sighed hearing that she was in a fight and thats why he had been called. "Do you want to come over? Have you eaten? I have enough for three if you want to come and hang out here for a while. I am sure summer would love it too." He told her as he heard tears in her voice. "I'll talk to you Katie. Just...come over..help me wrangle my crazy little girl why not yeah?" Drew told her as he bit his lip.
Katie bit her lip when he offered if she wanted to come over. "Are...are you sure?" She asked him, not wanting to intrude. She knew how special Drew was to Summer and she didn't want to get in the way. "If...you're sure," She said, realizing that she hadn't really eaten today. "Okay...I'll come over soon...I'll see you in a little bit, okay?" She said. After a minute, she said, "thanks, Drew."
Drew nodded as he looked at his daughter. "Yeah sure." He replied and then smiled. "I'll be here no worries. and no problem Katie." Drew hung up his phone and looked at summer. "Mrs.Martin is gonna come over for dinner." Drew told his daughter as her head perked up. "Daddy do you think she will read to me?" Drew smiled. "Sure if you ask her really sweetly." He told the little girl and heard the timer on the chicken as the doorbell rung. "Go get it baby girl daddy's going to check on dinner."
Katie bit her lip and smiled slightly. "Okay," She said, hanging up her phone and fixing her makeup. She knew that she still looked like she had been crying, but it wasn't nearly as notable anymore. She drove over to Drew's house and took a deep breath, seeing Jake's name flash on her phone, she hit ignore and got out, walking to the door. She rang the doorbell and smiled when the little girl answered the door. "Hi, Summer," she greeted, smiling at her.
Drew heard Katies voice and wished he had put on more, he had just been in a pair of basketball shorts, it was a warm summer day anyways. "Hi Mrs. Martin, will you read to me?" Drew laughed his daughter was just as blunt as her mother as Drew pulled the chicken out of the stove and then set it on top and a few minutes later had dinner ready. "Summer read after dinner okay?" He moved out of the kitchen and gave Katie a smile. "Hey, come on I got chicken and potatoes I hope that's okay with you?" He told Katie as he walked back into his small kitchen and got the table set and the plates plated up before he heard summer running to the bathroom to wash her hands before she jumped up in her chair.
Katie looked down at the little girl and smiled, laughing slightly. "Sure," she said, nodding her head, not caring if the little girl wanted her to read to her, she would do it gladly. She followed her into the kitchen and looked at Drew as he pulled the chicken out of the stove and noticed that he didn't have a shirt on. She looked at Drew and gave him a small smile and nodded her head. "Oh, yeah, that's fine, it smells really good," She told him, honestly. She found it attractive that he knew how to cook, Jake's biggest idea of a meal was just picking something up from a fast food place. She waited for him to sit down before she took a seat, smiling at Summer as she ran and jumped into her chair.
Drew shook his head at his daughter as he set dinner and then smiled. "Well you know, I know how to take care of my girl, and well used to be my girls Bianca taught me a lot tho I gotta admit." Drew said with a shrug as he sat down and smiled over at her as his daughter started to eat. "So what kind of fight was this one huh?" Drew questioned as he cut into his chicken and took a few bites.
Katie looked at Summer and then at Drew, nodding her head. "Well, she taught you well," She conceded, although she still didn't like the other girl and never would like her. She started to eat, feeling starving and shrugged her shoulders. "Let's...just say that Jake hasn't let an old habit die from high school and I'm just...starting to get sick of it," she said, hoping that he would get what she was saying, not wanting Summer to understand it, though.
Drew "You could say so." He told her as he looked at his daughter and sighed. "Summer don't get it all over your dress pretty girl." He told his baby and she nodded giggling and giving him a smile. "Oh right, well I guess that's a good reason that you'd be upset, also might be a reason you haven't you know had a baby with him. If he still has that habit up." Drew shook his head he looked at summer and smiled.
Katie bit her lip and smiled, nodding her head. "I could," she agreed, laughing. She watched him talk and smiled, slightly, liking the way that Summer just seemed so happy and he was too. "Yeah...he just goes out with Mo every night and does...that, and I'm just so tired of it," she shrugged, before she looked at Summer. "I really like your dress," she told the little girl, smiling.
Drew rolled his eyes. "What a mature man you married there." He said lightly and then his daughter looked at her teacher. "Thank you...daddy let me pick it out this morning all by myself." She told the woman shyly as she blushed and Drew smirked he loved seeing his daughter getting all bashful. "And once you eat you can go pick your pj's because it's going to be bed time soon." The girl nodded and smiled.
Katie looked at him and sighed. "Yeah..." she agreed, shaking her head, pushing Jake from her mind for now. She smiled and nodded her head. "Well, you did a very good job," she told her, looking at Drew and smiled, just finding Summer to be totally sweet and adorable. Katie liked how well Drew got along with Summer and how she just seemed so happy, but it also made her long for her own baby.
Drew saw his daughter push away from the table and he smiled. "Daddy will be in a minute to help you get changed. Then K..Mrs.Martin will read to you okay?" He told his daughter who bounded off happily. "Sorry bout her, she's as much energy as I have been." drew told her and then he got up clearing his plate and summers. "Take your time, we can talk more after Summer goes to bed okay? Make yourself at home." Drew said as he rubbed Katies shoulder and then grinned. "The cookie monsters coming to get you you better have pj's picked out." He heard his daughter squeal as she ran back to her room and Drew caught her picking her up as he got her dressed again and her teeth brushed, as he brushed out her curly hair he told her to go get Katie and ask her to read to her now.
Katie looked at him as Summer finished eating and smiled, nodding her head in agreement when he mentioned reading. "Pick out any book you like, okay?" She told the little girl. "Don't apologize, she's sweet," She said, smiling at him. She bit her lip and nodded her head, smiling slightly when he rubbed her shoulders. "Okay...thank you for everything," she said again. She watched him and just smiled, feeling herself falling harder for him every minute, he was such an amazing father, and she wanted that for her own kids, she wanted her child to have a father who adored them and played with them and loved them, and she worried that Jake wouldn't do that. She smiled at nodded her head when Summer asked her to read to her, following her up to her room, she sat down with her and slowly started to read, doing voices for the little girl like she did in class.
Drew leaned in the doorway as he watched Katie with his daughter, he loved the way summer just leaned against her teacher, and the way Katie was so good to his daughter something he knew that Summer needed since Bianca was off doing her thing most of the time and Drew was really raising her alone minus one night a week when Bianca had their daughter. Drew could tell how amazing that Katie would be at being a mother once the book was over Drew moved over and tucked his daughter in. "Okay you sleep well alright? Daddy isn't ever far if you need me, you want your fishy night light on?" As his daughter nodded he moved and turned the light on then did their usual routine telling her there were no monsters in her closet, or under her bed. "Daddy loves you summer." Drew kissed his daughter softly and gave her a hug before he laid down holding onto her stuffed rabbit and Drew moved with Katie out of the room as he closed the door behind him. "Do you want a drink or something?" Drew asked Katie.
Katie smiled as the little girl leaned against her and she just read her the book, looking over at her and stopping whenever Summer had a question, she patiently answered it, being used to little kids after teaching so much. She really enjoyed reading to her and getting this chance to see what it might be like one day when she had her own child. She looked up at Drew and smiled when she finished reading, getting up, she put the book back into the girls bokshelf and waited for Drew, liking that they had a routine and that he was just so amazing with her. She bit her lip and smiled, waving to Summer. "I'll see you at school, okay? Sweet dreams," she said, before she followed Drew out of the room and bit her lip. She thought about it for a moment before she nodded her head. "Okay," she agreed, smiling at him.
Drew walked to his kitchen and put the food away before he grabbed two glasses and a bottle of red wine. Drew led Katie to his couch as he poured them both a glass and then sat back. "So talk to me, what has you bothered huh? Is it just Jake smoking or something bigger than that." Drew wanted to show some interest in Katie too, he wanted her to feel like she could come to him if she needed him. Drew just was taking a fatherly side in that way with most of the people he met, that and for a long time he finally felt like he actually cared about someone since his ex-wife.
Katie "Can I do anything to help you?" She offered, biting her lip. She watched him grab two glasses and a bottle of wine, walking over to the couch with him, sitting down, she took a sip from her glass. "It's Jake smoking and Jake going out every night and Jake showing zero interest in starting a family," she admitted. "I know that we're only twenty four, but he knows that I want to get pregnant...and he just...he's not showing much interest," she said, shaking her head and sighing. "I don't know what I did wrong or how to get him interested.
Drew "No thank you, I got it." Drew was used to cleaning up on his own. Looking at her and he shook his head. "twenty four is a good age to start a family, hell I was only twenty when I started mine." Drew replied and he looked at her. "If he isn't interested in sex with his wife, then I think you should ask him if he's gay because you are hotter than you were went you were eighteen and should have a husband, boyfriend or whatever that's all over you, who's very interested in baby making. It's fun to do." He smirked as he took a sip from his glass.
Katie "If you're sure," she said, smiling at him. She bit her lip. "It was always something I planned on...I would have my first baby at twenty four and then if I wanted a second, a few years later," she admitted. "Look how well you've done, though," she told him. She looked at him, sipping her glass again and laughed softly. "Sometimes I do wonder...he's so close to Mo," she mentioned. She blushed slightly when he told her she was hotter now. "You really think that?" She asked, looking up at him, still surprised.
Drew "I'm sure." Drew told her and then he shrugged. "Wear less around him, if he can keep your hands off of you, than he's gay for sure." Drew told her and laughed softly and saw her blush. "Yeah I do, but uh don't tell Jake I said that." He told her as he sat back and just relaxed his tanned skin just relaxed into his couch. "You got time before you turn twenty five still to get pregnant just don't worry about it so much I guess, I don't know what to tell you, i got Bianca pregnant pretty quick. So I wouldn't know."
Katie nodded her head and looked at him. "It's not that he doesn't touch me, it's that...he always just...acts like it's a chore," she admitted, sighing and putting her head in her hands. "I'm so pathetic," She frowned. "Don't worry, I won't," She said, shaking her head. She listened to him and shrugged. "What's going to change Jake's mind and make him decide to have a kid? Nothing. I've told him flat out it's what I want and he just...doesn't agree," She sighed. She bit her lip. "It's okay...it's nice to just have someone listen to me."
Drew looked at her like she was crazy, god if she was his wife, they'd have plenty of children by now because even now Drew was finding it hard to keep his hands off of her. "You aren't you just want a baby, that's not a bad thing Katie." Drew shrugged and then he sighed. "Sorry, and I'll be here to listen its kinda nice talking to someone sexy and someone not my daughter who wants to only talk about ponies." He said laughing softly and set his wine glass down as he looked at Katie wondering what could of been if she hadn't been the one to take his brother from him. "Looks like your husband sucks you could just adopt a kid."
Katie saw the look in his eyes, getting a little confused. She wished that things were different, that they could be together and happy, but he would never like her that way, not after Adam. "Then why does Jake seem to think it is?" She asked, shaking her head. "Someone sexy, eh?" She laughed, looking at him. "But...I'll bet, but ponies are pretty awesome," she smiled at him, laughing. She looked at him and wished that she could just kiss him, but she didn't want to ruin their friendship. She sighed. "There's nothing wrong with adopting if you have the money for it."
Drew laughed softly and then shook his head. "I swear he's gay." Drew told her with a smirk and then nodded. "Yeah you are sexy and if you were my wife you'd be round with a baby by now hell two." He told her and smiled as he looked at her and then nodded. "Well then its called find a guy to get you pregnant but that's a shitty thing to do so I dunno what to really tell you Katie tho i wish I did."
Katie shook her head. "I don't know about that," she told him, shrugging, although she guessed it was possible. She blushed slightly when he spoke, just...wishing that that was what had happened. A part of her wondered if Summer was what was supposed to bring the two of them together again. She looked up at him and she didn't know if it was the alcohol or what, but she just leaned up and kissed him.
Drew looked at Katie and then smiled. "Oh I am sure of it." He told her as he saw her looking back into his eyes he was shocked for a moment but he kissed her back and reached down to touch her thigh gently as he rubbed the skin there but Drew pulled back and sighed. "Katie you are married...we can't be doing this." Drew told her even though he hadn't minded the kiss and hell he'd kiss her again he wanted to kiss her again.
Katie looked at him and smiled slightly. "Maybe," she giggled. She was surprised that she even did that, but it just felt...right, she still loved Drew and she was never going to stop. She shivered as he touched her thigh and rubbed her skin, biting her lip. "I don't care, Drew. I'm not...I'm not happy with him...I haven't been for a year now...I think we're going to get divorced," She told him, honestly.
Drew realized that even though the pain he had loved her all along, as he sighed hearing her. "Katie, you are still married here today, and if I start kissing you I don't think I will want to stop, and well if you are trying for a baby that means your not on anything and I already have summer." He replied fighting himself on just giving Katie what she wanted, to kiss her, maybe lead it into having sex with her even though his heart told him to shut up and just do it.
Katie looked up at him and bit her lip as he spoke, telling her he wouldn't stop. She listened to him and pulled away when he mentioned already having Summer. "You're...you're right. Why would you want another kid if you already have Summer," she commented, wishing he would give into it, but she didn't want to risk it if he didn't want another kid, she shouldn't force him to kiss her just because she wanted it.
Drew sighed hearing her and he felt her pulling away. "Katie its not that I am against more kids but this is crazy, you want me to potentially father a child with you?" He questioned her as he pulled back and downed the rest of his glass of wine before he turned his head and leaned over he kissed her softly.
Katie looked at him and shook her head. "I don't know, you're an amazing father and I don't know," She whimpered, still feeling a little confused, even though she knew she wanted him to father her child. She watched him down the rest of his glass and kissed him back, playing with his hair.
Drew laughed softly. "An amazing father is all it takes?" He questioned teasing her he kissed her and felt her playing with his hair as he sighed against her lips. "We can't do anything out here....if you want this to do anything or whatever then go wait for me in my room. The last thing I need summer seeing is daddy having sex with her teacher." Drew was going to let Katie make the decision he'd go along with whatever she wanted, he took the bottle of wine and put it back in the fridge, taking a few moments to calm down and try to get Katie off of his mind incase he heard her walk out instead.
Katie gave him a look. "No, that's not all it takes," she laughed, shaking her head. She heard him sigh against her lips and pulled away, biting her lip, knowing that he was right, they couldn't have sex out here. She listened to him and nodded her head, getting up and going into his room. She took a few minutes to just...think about it. Did she really want to potentially ruin her marriage? She honestly felt like there wasn't much left to it, and her and Jake were clearly just so different that she just...didn't think it was going to work anymore, they fought every day and barely saw each other, what kind of marriage was that?
Drew "Then what does it take huh?" He questioned as he got up and gave her some space he took a few minutes before he went to his room. He shut the door behind him and locked the door. "I have condoms maybe we should use one tonight." Drew told her as he went over to her and sat next to her on his bed, it'd be some form of protection from her getting pregnant not that he didn't want to help her out he did but she was married and he just sorta felt that a little strange, though if some of her clothes came off and she started talking to him, he'd be whipped.
Katie "For a man to make me feel special and...wanted," She told him softly, because that was what he made her feel everyday. She heard him shut the door and bit her lip as she looked up at him. "Maybe," she said, looking at him as he sat down next to her. She didn't really want to use condoms, but she didn't want to trap him in something he didn't want to do, either. "I guess...if you really want to we can," she frowned. "Or maybe...we don't," She offered, shrugging her shoulders. "But...if you really want to use one I won't stop you."
Drew sighed softly. This woman caused him so much pain but yet here he was knowing he still loved her. "You are wanted Katie..maybe..I just wasn't expecting you to get the idea that'd I'd be the one to help you father a child." Drew replied as he heard that they didn't have to use one but if he wanted too he could. "How fertile are you right now?" Drew questioned as he looked her body over and bit his lip he reached over and ran his hand along her inner thigh.
Katie looked at him and then shrugged. "Why wouldn't I? You were always the man that I thought would father my children," she admitted, shrugging. "But...if you really don't want to, you don't have to," she repeated. She looked at him and bit her lip. "I don't know...I don't think that I'm that fertile right now," she admitted. After months of trying, she had stopped being so compulsive about checking when she was most fertile, it seemed like no use.
Drew was a bit shocked at how blunt she was being. "Oh wow...that's um a surprise." He told her and then he shrugged. "I just...I dunno its strange you are married yet you are here asking me to get you pregnant." Drew told her and then he nodded he leaned over and kissed her gently. "Then you are wearing too many clothes for me to even get inside of you to make you feel wanted and special." Drew didn't really care anymore, he still had Bianca on the side if this didn't work out.
Katie laughed softly. "I was truly in love with you, Drew," she said, biting her lip. "I really don't think i'll be married for much longer, Drew...I'm so sick of Jake and the fighting." She looked up at him and kissed him back. She giggled as he spoke and nodded her head. "I am," She agreed, biting her lip. "What should I take off first?" She asked, tilting her head and smirking at him.
Drew nodded. "I was with you too Katie, I don't think I ever stopped kinda why me and Bianca didn't work out, or so I think." He told her and then he just heard her and laughed. "All of it? Show me how beautiful your naked body is." Drew charmed knowing that Katie was indeed beautiful , he didn't have any other thoughts but that.
Katie looked at him and smiled slightly. "I...never really got over you either," She admitted, biting her lip. "I didn't want to...despite everything." She giggled and looked at him, nodding her head. "I can do that," she smiled at him, before she pulled her shirt off and looked up at him. "You really want to do this?"
Drew laughed softly. "None of my ex's ever get over me, especially ones I have sex with in cars." He teased as he winked and then nodded. Looking at her with her shirt off, he leaned back exposing the large erection he was sporting in his basketball shorts. "I dunno you tell me." Drew told her as he looked her body over and he bit his lip. "I'm throbbing just thinking of you moaning my name." Drew told her low.
Katie looked at him and bit her lip. "Of course they don't," She said, rolling her eyes at him, but she started to giggle, shaking her head. Katie looked up at him and smirked as he spoke. "I like that," she told him. She giggled as he groaned and told her that that was hot. "Oh, it is, is it?" She asked, smirking as she let him grab her hand and pull her to him. Katie bit her lip and reached around, unhooking it and tossing it to the ground, still moaning out as he rubbed her folds. She looked up at him and smirked as he spoke. Drew looked down at the girl beneath him, he wasn't think he wasn't sure how his daughter would take it or what would happen. "I already want you." He told her and then he smirked.
