While reading this I would like you to picture me wearing huge sunglasses, sipping a coffee with a complicated name, and wearing an ironic graphic tee... all while sitting in a starbucks because I'm here to talk to you about being a hipster.
Actually that's a lie. I'm not a hipster, I'm an ultimate hipster because I believe myself to be cooler than hipsters. Hipsters might act like they knew the scene before anyone else, but I get angry if anyone even mentions the scene that I like. I'm talking anger... Like the real emotion. It makes me feel likes my secrets are being exposed. Especially if I've never met a certain band before. I always have the same dream that I'm going to see them live with just a couple friends and since they're so unknown nobody really shows up, so we just end up hanging with the band and we become best friends. The end. I know this will never happen, but my mind gets to be as imaginative as it wants!
Being an ultimate hipster also makes me feel ultimately guilty. Shouldn't I want the biggest success for the things that I love? Shouldn't I be sharing songs, books, pictures, recipes all over my Facebook... Okay maybe not Facebook I only have like two friends, if this was MySpace I couldn't even fill my top 8. Speaking of Myspace it's making a come back. I saw the commercial and got very excited. I was always too afraid to take real Myspace pics and post them, but I think I can handle it now. Search for me! Ill be the girl with her butt on the bathroom sink, duck facing it up, with my mom yelling at me in the background, #selfienation.
