“Really? That’s a first.” Frisk chuckled and held him close, smiling down at the little pile of bones in her grip.
He was so tiny to her. After all, she remembered a time when they were both pretty close in height. It felt like so long ago now. The brunette couldn’t help but be taken aback though. It took a lot to surprise the normally easy going monster in her arms. Huh. She must’ve gotten him when he was half asleep or something.
“Sorry if I woke you up Dunkle Sans. Didn’t mean to.” Frisk explained with an apologetic grin. She settled the two of them on the grass, her small Uncle sitting on her lap as her arms coiled around him. “I just missed you is all. Heh…being Ambassador comes with it’s drawbacks.” The girl frowned some and let her chin rest against his skull. Frisk sighed, her gaze wondering over fluffy clouds overhead.
“It takes me away from all of you. All my meetings are so boring. I’d rather spend my time with my friend. My family. But I guess this way, I know I can do my part to keep you all safe. Still…Ii wish you guys could be with me more.” Frisk murmured quietly.
* what could he say? he hadn’t slept very well last night and had been trying to catch up on a nap when Frisk arrived. not that the skeleton could complain. he missed the kid when she was busy keeping the peace between the monsters and humans. he knew it was a lot of work, but Frisk had the support of him and all the other monsters. * speaking of Frisk, she certainly had gotten older. a lot more mature too. definitely an improvement over the kiddo he met down in the Underground. though, he did kind of miss Frisk being a lot smaller. made it easier to bug her.

* he chuckled softly and settled comfortably against her. at least she made for a comfortable pillow. and he really had missed her. him and Paps hadn’t really seen much of Frisk and Paps had been worried Frisk wouldn’t have time for them anymore.
