I hate that… But truthfully we aren’t taught about all the other types of people. People define by what they see visually, for example blacks can see a baby that is 1/4th black and then 3/4ths white and know that it has some black heritage in it…

That's complete bullshit because if i can tell there's a difference between being native american and being black, white people should be able to as well. In a country as multicultural as Canada, white people have no excuse to remain so ignorant, and they're not. They know that there are different races, but since i'm not white it's easy to group me in with other PoC. its a mentality of "white" or "not white" Don't act like like being classified as "white" instead of 50 shades of European is the same as having your identity disregarded because you're not white. i don't give a fuck about people calling me indian instead of Bengali. i care about white people grouping all PoC together just because they're not white. your entire comment is excusing and enabling racism because "eh, that's just how people are, it can't be helped"
