In honor of veterans & Memorial day, some hard stats about veterans. More resources are needed for those who sacrificed greatly & lost many.
The widely quoted stats of 22 suicides/day for veterans may be low.

17% of homeless are veterans.
1.5 million veterans are at-risk of homelessness.
1 in 5 Veterans lives alone.
In 2011, 18% of VA-assisted homeless veterans were women.
56% of Veterans are African-American or Hispanic.
