I got these questions always running through my head So many things that I would like to understand If we are born to die and we all die to live Then what's the point of living life if it just contradicts?
Falling In Reverse - The Drug In Me Is You
2 of Wands Vs. 3 of Wands
The keywords for 2 of Wands are: Development, Decisions, Future Planning, Potential to Expand, Ambition, Passion, and Enthusiasm.
And the 3 of Wands keywords are: Visionary, Work Success, Foresight, Expansion, Preparation, Commitment to Future, Projects Gaining Stride, and Efforts Will Be Well Respected.
The Two and Three of Wands can be tricky to differentiate. I know I’ve certainly had trouble with it. Both dudes are looking out to sea, seemingly contemplating their futures. But there are several differences;
2W shows a dude standing on the roof of his castle holding a wand in one hand and a globe in the other. He’s planning. He’s like ‘Okay, I’ve got my fortune, I’ve got my mother-lovin castle, now what should I conquer next?’ The wand he’s holding is stuck in the wall. It symbolizes that he’s got a creative answer to every obstacle based on his past experiences. The left hand on wand shows he knows he can creatively handle any situation that comes before him. Nothing can stop him and he knows it. The roses growing on the parapet also symbolize new beginnings and hope and his orange tunic symbolizes his enthusiasm for life. He’s facing West, which symbolizes him looking at what he’s accomplished thus far in his past and using that to formulate his new intention. Anything is possible. He’s literally got the world in his hands! Do you see the balance of the 2’s here? Equal parts looking back and looking forward. He’s using his past experiences as indicators for his next success. Here he is still thinking, refining, and dreaming about what should come next. There has been no action. The Golden Dawn calls the 2W the Lord of Dominion. It means that we’re in charge of how our lives play out and that we control how (or if) we choose to go after our destinies.
Once upon a time I came across a post that called the 3W the “Columbus” card and it just stuck for me. Are those three ships in the harbor the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria? Could be! (I feel like I should insert here that I know Columbus was an ass and deserves no special recognition. Please see this in the sweet childhood classroom sense of the character, not the reality of the jerk). In the 3W card, we see a dude standing on a cliff looking out at the harbor. He’s holding one wand and has two more on either side of him. This is the card that takes the planning done in the 2W and turns it into the initial action stage. 3W is about the start of carrying out your will. The beginning of the journey. And the dude is hanging out atop the mountain watching the initial unfolding of his grand plan. Only time will tell how things play out. The wand he is holding symbolizes that he’s planned ahead (it’s in the East) and the two behind him symbolize the work and research he has done before putting the plan into action. He’s facing the sun (did you know the only other character with his back to us is the 7 of cups) which means he’s ready to face life and take it head on. The cliff symbolized trust… kind of like the Fool, except the Fool, has blind faith and the 3W trusts in the plan. Much more practical. The Golden Dawn calls this card the Lord of Established Strength. I take this as having the strength needed to turn your dream into reality.
So long story short: Both are looking ahead and looking at expanding themselves. Both are working towards goals, but they are at different points in their plans. In the 2W the ideas are still formulating, he’s still crafting the grand scheme and refining it to the perfect plan. In the 3W he’s got his desire set in his mind, he’s formulated his plan, and now he’s setting off like Frodo on his grand adventure to Mordor. Except this dude’s given his travel plans much more forethought!
As an artist, I’ve had a hard time coming to this realization, but as I get older I realize, I care less and less about how the art looks but, how I feel when i’m doing it, and why i’m doing it. I know a lot of artists have problems with their work looking horrible, or having self doubts about it but, trust me, if you love it, and had fun while doing it, it’s as valuable as any other piece of art ever.
Never forget WHY you became an artist, or even why you felt that spark that made you want to continue. Love yourself and your art unconditionally, and i’m sure you’ll see the results you’re looking for.
It’s all about you, and your ability to love yourself that can progress you in any skill or talent. And no matter how long it takes you to improve, be it 1 week, or 7 years, you’re still having fun, and being happy.
Art is a beautiful thing, and has feelings, not just talent. ❤️❤️❤️
i Love you so so much 💕🍑
We seem to have forgotten how to "friend"
Sometimes everything you want to hear from a person - oh why, don't you worry, I'm with you, everything will be fine
Sometimes all you need is a kind look and understanding smile Sometimes it's so important just to feel that the person is near, even without thousand logical advises.
Stories
Has anyone seen that picture that says 'what if somebody wrote a story about your life?' I actually wish that it was possible. I wish everyone could have a book written about their life words for word no matter what. That way people can read it and can connect with each other. Then we would know were not alone with our sad times and even happy times, because people may say " I understand " but do they really? but if we were to read their story we can see they really do understand.
